The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2008 to start a 4-year B.Tech degree programme affiliated to the Kurukshetra University with AICTE approval with the intake of 60 . Since its inception, the Department has shown exponential growth in terms of modernization of the existing laboratories and establishment of new laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, curriculum development in consonance with the industrial needs and research papers publication of the faculty members.
The undergraduate B.TECH (ECE) degree programme is of four years duration on semester pattern, the first semester being common to all branches of Engineering. The students are trained in the areas of basic Electronics, Communication and Computer Hardware.
The department gives exposure to its students, to not only the regular Engineering curriculum but also to the aspirations of today's corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude in them. The department create conducive atmosphere in the department through which the students, especially from rural area will discover their own potential in Electronics and Communication Engineering and cater to the needs of industries of surrounding areas. Our labs, with latest facilities and unlimited Internet facility, give our students a cutting edge in technical exploration and enhance their information search and analysis skills.
Faculty members are encouraged to take independent initiatives in all the relevant academic and research & development activities including teaching, research, and curriculum development, continuing education programmes like Mtech and Phd , and organization and attending of workshop, short term courses, and seminars / conferences.

An Electronics and Communication Engineer with specialization in Electronic System Design, Digital electronics, DSP, Embedded Systems, VLSI, Matlab and vhdl software tools etc., can be employed in the public and private sector industries and organizations such as Intel, Texas Instruments, BSNL, ISRO, DRDO, BEL,BHEL,Indian Telephone Industries, MTNL, National Physical Laboratories, AIR, Civil aviation, and the Police WirelessDepartments.
Electronics and Communication Engineers are also absorbed into the entertainment transmission industry, research establishments, and defense. They can also take-up teaching and research in any of the engineering colleges in India or abroad.
